FROM WOUNDEDNESS TO WHOLENESS
ABOUT ME
Dr. Asher Beckwitt has lived a life deeply marked by the echoes of various traumas. Through experience, she has learned resilience, empathy, and the profound strength
of the human spirit.
Over the past 24 years, she has immersed herself in the
world of Medical Anthropology, earning a PhD that
allowed her to explore trauma not just as a survivor,
but also as a researcher.
In their words, “My journey is a unique one, having
survived personal and systemic trauma from childhood sexual abuse by a same-sex pedophile.”
Dr. Asher now uses their expertise to support survivors
as they transform their lives from woundedness into wholeness.
